The Plot: After meeting their yakuza connection at an abandoned military lab to fence loot from a jewel heist, four amateur thieves end up in a heap o’ shit when the place turns out to be inhabited … by hordes of insatiable undead.junk-zombie-girl Amid some trigger-happy gangsters and scads of zombies — the result of a botched experiment to resurrect the dead (That looks a lot like a Re-Animator rip) — can the sticky fingered quartet make it out alive? Kaori Shimamura stars in this entertaining gore-fest.

The music was ok…they try to amp up the fight scenes with some techno music but it sounded like the volume was mixed down. Then at one point they switch to some southern rock type guitar song that just didn’t fit at all. The creepy scenes still had the old classic horror type eerie music that we all know and love, so that was good.

The cinematography was well done for a lower budget movie like this. The junk-zombie-gangsterpicture was kinda grainy but I think that added to the feel of the movie. Some minor shots looked like they were filmed on home video which did suck.

The acting wasn’t bad at all. I was confused at the fact that some of the characters kept speaking English at times, and some of their accents were so bad it made me wish the subtitles were still showing. The one character: Akira was a little over the top and annoying at times. Other then that everyone else was pretty smooth.

The effects were quite classic. There were plenty of zombies eating fake looking human flesh just like in a Fulci film. I was really into the 1000 blood squibs used junk-zombie-girl-headshotwhile shooting the zombies.

Overall this movie was a pretty well done zombie movie done with a limited budget. Despite a few flawed and sometimes cheesy parts I enjoyed it enough to sit through the whole thing till the end without being bored. If you love good old fashioned brains being dashed onto the nearest wall…then you should get a kick out of this flick.
