Gran Torino Movie Poster Clint Eastwood

The Plot: Crusty, inflexible Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) must confront his Hmong immigrant neighbors – and his own long-held prejudices – when the family’s teen son, Thao, tries to steal Walt’s Gran Torino Movie Clint Eastwood M1 Garand Riflebeloved 1972 Gran Torino. Walt soon assumes the unlikely role of guardian angel to young Tao and his sister, who are vulnerable to disturbing gang influences in this awesome drama from 78-year-old director Eastwood.

The music was very somber when it was even used. The sad tone of the tune in the beginning of the film kinda made me believe that it was going to be a little Gran Torino Movie Bee Vang Clint Eastwooddepressing. For most of the movie there was no music, just dialog. This technique actually worked out well and made you focus closely on what was being said by the characters.

The cinematography worked really well. Most of the movie was shot in a simple side view due to the abundant amount of dialog scenes. But my favorite shots were whenever Eastwood’s character got pissed…they would take a straight on view of just his face and chest which was very intense. He’s older but still has that believability that he could fuck your ass up if provoked.

The acting was great. I mean, I knew that it would be, but Clint’s performance Gran Torino Movie Clint Eastwood Finger Gunwas very convincing. It was so good that I almost stopped thinking that it was him…and just this grumpy racist old man. The co-star that stole the show in my opinion was Ahney Her. She did a great job and I hope to see her in more stuff in the future.

The effects This movie didn’t have many effects at all. Its focus was on the characters and their actions. When blood was spilt, it looked very convincing.

Gran Torino Movie Clint Eastwood Pissed offOverall this is the classic tail of a character that is stuck in their ways, but due to tragedies in his life, is forced to change for the better. There were a lot of racial slurs used in this film…at parts I couldn’t help but laugh at his matter-of-fact way of saying them. I really liked the flow of this movie. It kept me really entertained with its witty dialog and storyline. Clint is such a great actor and has come so far as a director.
